The basic charge for a memory critter is $50.
Extras such as larger sizes, hats, clothing, purses, footwear, button plackets, patches, appliqués etc. have an extra charge ranging from $5 to $15 for each piece. Most of the animals do not work well with very lightweight, stretchy fabric such as t-shirts. I need to use extra batting and stabilizer, so I need to add extra charges.
I offer machine or hand embroidery. See details on Memory Bear Page.
Animals made from stretchy fabric such as T-Shirts or lightweight sweaters need to have all the pieces stabilized with iron-on interfacing to prevent them from stretching out of shape. This will be an extra cost of $10 per animal.
A “basic critter” means that all of the features of the design are sewn into the critter. This can include pieces from many different items of your choice, but it is all constructed as one piece.
Includes child-safe eyes and nose, padding for the ears and tail if needed, and a decorative of some type around the neck, such as a bow or a collar from the clothing used. A recorded sound button can be inserted if you provide it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Interesting “critter material” includes flannel shirts, T-shirts (may cost extra if the fabric needs to be stabilized), sweaters, sweatshirts, dresses, favorite blankets, towels, curtains, bedspreads or quilts, etc. The sky is the limit!
Horsie
Horsie above was made from a fuzzy bathrobe. She needed extra help: strong stabilizer lining & Polypebble stuffing in legs to give stability. Made from a vintage toy pattern, and will be very cute made of denim or other heavy fabric.
Other Assorted Critters
(Is it a critter or a pillow? You decide. ) Very nice little friend to hug or sleep with, just right for remembering and cudding. Made from a loved one’s shirt, dress, clothing, PJs, robe or a vintage quilt like this one, the turtle has safety eyes and polyfill stuffing. The walleye is made from flannel shirts, and has buttons from one of the shirts for eyes (Not suitable for children).
