Includes child-safe eyes and nose, padding for the ears and tail, and a decorative of some type around the neck, such as a bow or a collar from the clothing used.
The bear is stuffed with 100% polyester Fiber Fill.
A “Beary” Special Bear…
This is what it’s all about! With my customer’s permission, I post the original Superhero who wore this great shirt…complete with cape…and the adorable bear created from it. What a treasure!
I am ready to help YOU create a precious, comforting, tangible memory of your loved one.
I offer simple basic machine or hand embroidery
Base cost of embroidery is $2 per letter. Names, initials or simple shapes can be sewn onto the piece. Additional charges may be added for the construction of the part which will have the letters on it, such as a patch, purse, etc. Please note that machine embroidery is a newly learned skill, and my expertise will improve with time.

Stabilizer
Most Bears, especially those made from stretchy fabric such as T-Shirts or lightweight sweaters need to have all the pieces stabilized with iron-on interfacing to prevent the bear from stretching out of shape. This gives extra body and form to the bear.
These bears were created from an angora rabbit hair sweater, and would not have kept their shape without stabilizing. The pink bears were Basic Bears with a $5 charge for heart patchBasic Bears made from 2 contrasting shirts
The Patchwork Bear: Starts at $75
This patchwork bear was constructed from tiny scraps. First I made patchwork and then designed the bear with much care and extra time. His cost was $100.Patchwork was made of 2″blocks cut from 3 different shirts. The bear pattern pieces were then carefully aligned and cut from the piece of patchwork. The basic price for this bear is $100 because of it is very labor and time intensive. Additions such as the heart appliqué are extra.
The SCRAPPY BEAR (below): Additional $15
The Scrappy Bear is an alternative design for a patchwork look. It does not cost as much as actual patchwork, and is made by mixing 4 or more articles of clothing, cutting the pattern pieces from different designs. A $15 cutting charge is added to the basic bear charge, because it does require more time and planning.

The BIB OVERALLS BEAR
NEW! I drafted a new adaptation to my pattern for bib overalls, combining the bib portion with the shirt, all in one, also adding topstitching. This is the BIB OVERALL BEAR that I now offer. Comes in 18″ size only, so the basic charge is $65, plus an additional $15 cutting charge for the bib/shirt portions. Total $80
Extra work getting the coverall straps, waist and hardware to work. I was inspired to draft a new pattern for overalls after this project.
This one is going to be a “Ring Bear” in a wedding. They plan to clip the rings to the suspenders.

TO HELP YOU IN YOUR PLANNING: The above police officer bears had extra charges: Basic 18″ bear price $65 (18″ bear needed to accommodate the size of the badges); $5 per badge to remove from knit fabric shirt without causing holes so that all the fabric could be used for bear pieces, and reposition and sew onto bear front; $5 to carefully remove pocket from front area; (the front also needed stabilizer to hold the badges); $5 extra per collar to reconstruct to fit.
The police officer bear below was constructed with the Extra Large (20″) Bear pattern because I needed room to place five special badges on him. His cost was $100.
The police officer bears below were kept to the 16″ regular size bear, the badge taking up most of their tummies.
