I find great fulfillment and satisfaction in creating unique, made-to-order keepsake items which reflect the heart of my customer. When you, or someone you know, has been through the experience of loss and bereavement–or when you just want to memorialize a special occasion such as graduation–your heart is full. I desire for my textile art to express that fullness.
You supply the material, such as shirts, pants and ties for the quilt pictured above…or a special blanket, towel, bathrobe, etc. which you associate with the loved one you wish to honor. This can be done by meeting together, or by shipping. Together, we discuss possibilities, projects, prices, process, production, and payment; and an estimate is made for time involved and pricing. Shipping will be computed at the end, when the weight of the item will determine it.
Then the creation begins, and every step along the way is covered with heartfelt prayer for the people and situations involved.
POSSIBILITIES. I encourage you to browse through my photos on this site and on Facebook. You will get a good idea of what I have created; and you will have a springboard to jump into your own ideas.
PRICES. I try very hard to keep my prices affordable. I do not have a lot of overhead to factor in, but the main contribution to this effort is my time. As a general rule, I try to keep to $18 per hour for labor. My prices are all subject to Minnesota sales tax. There may be additional costs for notions, quilt batting and backing, etc. as well as shipping. We will discuss all of these factors before I begin.
PROCESS. I will begin cutting and designing and stitching as soon as possible. I fill orders in the order in which I receive them. From the time I start your project until it is in your hands, I can update progress by message, text, photos, or phone, as you wish.
PRODUCTION. The project will be completed in a timely manner (which will be estimated at the time of order).
PAYMENT. Payment can be made to me by cash or on PayPal to http://www.paypal.me/RheaBeaudry If we have agreed on a personal check ahead of time, it must be made out to Rhea Beaudry (that is what matches my bank account). A down payment may be required at the time of order, depending on the extent of the work.
(The quilt above was created to honor the memory of a friend’s beloved husband. He was a police officer, and these were the shirts and ties he wore for his work. The darker sashing between the blocks was all cut from his work pants.)

Here I am happily hand-tying one of my T-shirt quilts. A time-consuming part of the process.
